Label regular James Hunter returns to Buxton Records for its first release of 2015, this time in collaboration with the LazarusMan; a talented South African vocalist come slam poet who has worked with esteemed artists such as Soul Clap, Till Von Sein and Tigerskin.

On ‘Back Together’ he channels the regret of relationships broken before due with a sense of whimsy that couples perfectly to James Hunter’s typically woozy beats and understated melodies. With plenty of punch and typically incisive drums, the track should prove a warm-up favourite.

Ever the master of subtlety, YokoO more than earns his keep on remix duties by taking the track in a more languid, dub inflected direction. As befits an artist recently signed to Lee Burridge and Matthew Dekay’s All Day I Dream label, his interpretation is heavy on atmosphere yet not lacking in groove.
