With a name befitting of the sounds within, the Desolato EP stands as dark testament to Silvio Bondage’s skill in crafting mood from music. Perhaps unsurprisingly then, the title track has a muscular groove encased in swirling pads which render it equally cerebral and physical. Whereby contrast, Walker’s ‘Dreaming For Desolation’ reinterpretation is far lighter and signals a more uplifting dance floor moment, brimming with positivity.

‘Clothes for heroes’ on the other hand sits somewhere in between, yet is packed with plenty of detail, energy and charm. Intentionally or otherwise, the Fundamental Harmonics remix follows Walker’s lead in taking ‘Clothes for heroes’ in a brighter direction which ought to please the truest of deep house purists even more so.
