James Hunter is keeping to form for his second solo outing on Buxton Records across four tracks worth of warm-up ready material. Feeling somewhat like a direct extension of his earlier releases, the It’s Not Over EP is possessed of the same clean production aesthetic, snappy drums and tightly woven atmospherics. ‘Dadadum’, ‘Die Schule’ and the title track each embody these qualities equally well whilst ‘Neayo’ provides just enough groove and swing to set it apart as an altogether bouncier number.
